- Don’t go into their fridges to help yourself, ASK first.
- Their stores weren’t stocked for your visit only, other guests will come after you so don’t finish the stock in the store.
- Don’t leave your hosts house like tornado went through it, this is not your mama/papas house so tread with care.
- Changing TV settings, using home computers etc are not part of the deal, you should have stayed at home to use yours.
- Greeting your host or hostess at arrival and departure is an absolute must.
- Leaving the space you occupied as good or better than you met it is expected.
- Don’t “borrow” stuff without asking.
- If you’ve been an overnight guest clean out the room you stayed in. Strip the beddings, empty the bin, keep the bathroom use ready for the next guest.
- If you’ve been a long stay house guest leave a thank you note at least and if you can afford it a small gift showing your appreciation.
- Use a lot of please, thank you and may I.
